Aug 19-21, 2011: America KR wins Best Movement Young Horse - 2011 Feria del Caballo Espanol

America KR represented us at this year's Feria del Caballo Espanol. Out of a very competitive class of 18 fillies, she won the best movement award and 2nd place in morphology. The judge gave her the highest movement score seen at the Feria this year, matched only by the beautiful young Faralay daughter Alborada SS. (see below)

August 21: Many successes at the 2011 Feria del Caballo Espanol

Congratulations to Alborada SS and the Salazar family. Alborada received the highest movement score at the Feria - 24.0 - a score matched only by our America KR. We look forward to seeing her turn heads next year at the Copa California.
Also at the Feria, Aurora KR, owned by Nick Phillips, impressed the judge earning a 22.5 score for movement, finishing in the top five in her class. This lovely girl will be started under saddle next year and we look forward to seeing her and Nick in the mare functionality section when comes of age.

July 31, 2011: Faralay wins the USPRE High Point Open award at Golden State Dressage Show

Congratulations to Faralay and Angela on their successes at the Golden State Dressage Warm-up/Cool-down Show at Starr Vaughn on July 29-31. They were in the ribbons at 3rd level including winning the USPRE Open High Point Challenge with 65.897% on Third Level Test 3.

Dec 2010: USPRE awards Angela Ridgway and Faralay the 2010 Open Training Scholarship

We are thrilled that Angela and Faralay were the proud recipients of the USPRE Professional Level Scholarship for continued training. Angela plans to use the scholarship to spend some extra time riding Faralay with Steffen Peters at his facility in the San Diego area in December, 2011. Learn more...

Faralay wins the USPRE High Point Open award at Woodside Summer Dressage Show

Congratulations to Faralay and Angela on their successes at the Woodside Horse Park in August, 2010. They brought home 3 blue ribbons at First and Second Levels and the USPRE Open High Point Challenge with 67.89% on First Level Test 4.

Faralay daughter wins at Feria del Caballo Espanol 2010

Congratulations to the Salazar family and their lovely Faralay daughter Alborada. Alborada brought home a blue ribbon and the best movement award in her weanling filly class at the Feria. She surely has a bright future ahead as a show mare and significant dam. Watch for her at the next PRE show!

Faralay is Qualified! - The ANCCE Qualified Tribunal convened in mid September at sites in California and Texas. A panel of judges and veterinarians from Spain examined some of the best breeding stock in the US and we are proud to report that Faralay was among three stallions awarded the prestigious Qualified Status.

 

 

Feria Show Results - Faralay Wins the 5 & 6 Year Old Stallion Class

	Ketcham Ranch extends their thanks to Team Faralay - Angela Ridgway, Nick Phillips, and Orlando - for their preparation and showmanship at the Feria this year, With their help, Faralay won the 5 and 6 year old stallion class. He and Angela Ridgway gave an outstanding performance under saddle winning the Reserve Champion of Functionality award for the show.

 

Expo 2009 Show Results - Congratulations!!! to Edwin and Stephanie Pauneto of Yeguada Charileen and their mares from Ketcham Ranch. In spite of stiff competition from both imported and domestically bred horses at the ANCCE qualified PRE Expo 2009 in May, Fugitiva KR, Honesta KR, and Marbella KR each brought home the Best Movement Award in their respective classes. Honesta earned more top honors with First Place in her class, as well as the coveted Best Movement Young Horse Award (Mejores Movimientos Jovenes). Marbella was awarded the Reserve Champion Young Mare (Subcampeona Joven de la Raza). Thank you Edwin and Stephanie for your confidence in our youngstock and congratulations!!

	New Arrival from Spain - We are proud to announce the arrival of our newest mare from Villa Mazzara in Spain. Electra CVIII is a full sister to our precious Divina LXXV and she is safely in foal to Kefren (pictured at right), the qualified dressage stallion. We eagerly anticipate the arrival of her new son or daughter in the first week of January!

 

Aurora KR: Faralay's first foal - March 5, 2009 - Omega KR, our wonderful daughter of Gaucho III and Orquidea JIM, presented us with a beautiful filly from Faralay. Aurora KR is charming and outgoing and athletic in the extreme. She has already shown us her floating trot, effortless lead changes and correct conformation. Congratulations to Nick Phillips on his purchase of Aurora KR. We wish you both much success in the years to come!

 

Revision - March 11, 2009 - The ANCCE team will be here to revise P.R.E. horses. Please contact us immediately if you need service. Because inscriptions are now handled by local, authorized veterinarians, we will host an inscription clinic in April, 2009, for all P.R.E. foal owners in the area, to be conducted by Dr. Charles Tobias.
