We believe that the strength of any breeding program lies in its foundation: the broodmare band. With this in mind, we have carefully selected our foundation mares without compromise. Our mares all have strong dam lines and well recognized sires known to produce superior offspring.
They have been selected for strong, straight movement, excellent conformation, and above all, kind temperaments. We generally start all of our mares under saddle to asses their character and willingness to work. This gives us a good idea of the trainability they will transmit to their offspring and it prepares them for the future ahead, whether it be training for the show ring or pleasure riding.
